Configuring SMS delivery reports

If you use a GSM modem, you can benefit from a strong feature of the GSM network. The GSM network can be asked to send a report SMS message to the sender party when an SMS message is delivered to the destination phone. This SMS message is called the SMS delivery report. In the SMS delivery report you can track the status of the SMS message.

If you wish to receive delivery reports, you should place a checkmark into the "Request delivery report SMS" checkbox on the Message Handling tab of the GSM Modem Configuration form (Figure 1).

With the help of SMS delivery report you can monitor SMS delivery and handle delivery failures.
